Ordinary Life

Since I barely wrote anything yesterday, I thought I'd write a little bit about what we did for my birthday. Scott and I got up and went to see Night at the Museum 2 around 1:30, and then we went and picked up my friend Madeline to hang out with us, since she was going to dinner with us later and her boyfriend had his car with him at work (her car is in the shop). Then Scott, Madeline and I went to Cost Plus World Market to look around, and we ended up getting two 6-packs of beer singles, a bottle of New Mexico Gewurztraminer (figured if I'm going to rave about Colorado wine, I might as well try some from my native state), 4 stemless wine glasses, and some gnocchi. Spent more than I wanted to, but it's ok, it was my birthday!

Then we all went back to our house to wait for Madeline's boyfriend to get off work, and when he finally made it to our house we all headed out to Turtle Mountain, and got there around 7:15. I knew I was going to get the Cerillos grinder, because it's basically a Philly cheesesteak and we all know I'm obsessed with those, and Madeline thought that sounded really good too but she also wanted to get this Fajada Fettuccine with basil pesto cream sauce, and that sounded too good to pass up so we decided to split our meals. Then we decided we wanted dessert, but Scott and I wanted 2 different things, so we just got both! See, this is why I was so stuffed for the rest of the night last night.

After dinner, Madeline and Ethan came back to our house to hang out, and Madeline and I watched Sex and the City while Scott and Ethan played Magic: the Gathering (yes, they are geeks). They stayed over until like 1:45 in the morning, and I was exhausted when they left, but we had a lot of fun!
